raw (?) tomato sauce

Another winner from this month's Bon Appetit!  I had never heard of raw tomato sauce but liked the idea of not having to simmer a tomato sauce in this awful heat.

Cut up 10 plum tomatoes into 3/4 inch pieces and discard the pulp. Add to tomatoes 1 Tbsp of balsamic vinegar, 1 Tbsp of red wine vinegar and 1/2 cup of olive oil. Squash the above with your hands and add 1/2 cup torn basil and salt and pepper.  Cover and let marinate for one hour or more.

Cook your favorite pasta and drain  and add the tomatoes to the pot with the pasta, mix and let sit for 15 mins.

I added a little parma and olive oil when serving. The sauce is absolutely delicious.
