I think I want to get a simple round ornament for the top...we'll see what the ole' craft store has to offer. BTW, the kids love making these and they cost nothing if you use an old paperback book off your shelf. When I was a kid, our teachers would spray them with silver or gold spray paint. K5 wants to spray his. I'll post the results when he's done.

love using the glossiest magazines...i usually tear the cover off at the end...no glue needed.
This is a neat idea. I have so many Parents Magazine lying around and can put the old issues to good use.
