Heavenly Messiah

Michael surprised me with tickets to Handel's Messiah last night...It was performed by the Trinity Church choir using period instruments. I had never been to a live performance of this and it was heavenly.  I love how the audience stands during the Allelujah Chorus.  I believe when King George first heard it performed he was so overwhelmed he stood in respect and that has become the tradition.
